Shining a Light in the Darkness

A missionary and his family were forced to camp outside on a hill. They had money with them and were fearful of an attack by roving thieves. After praying, they went to sleep.

Months later an injured man was brought to the mission hospital. He asked the missionary if he had soldiers guarding him on that night. "We intended to rob you," he said, "but we were afraid of the twenty-seven soldiers."

When the missionary returned to his homeland, he related this story, and a member of the church said, We had a prayer meeting that night, and I took the roll. There were just twenty-seven of us present."

Prayers have no boundaries. They can leap miles and continents and be translated instantly into any language.

When you pray, you are fighting in and with the power of God. In the story above, 27 people praying for a missionary in a distant land sent the power of God directly to them for protection. You may never know the results of your prayers. These dedicated people were fortunate enough to have this knowledge and testimony.
