What Do I Really Need?

God Asked me that question once in my thought process, while machining parts on a a lathe at night by myself. When you are by yourself, working all alone, you get lots of time to think! So I started to really ponder the question, "What do I Really Need?"
 
This is how it went:
 

I can live without my job ...

 (Great - a long vacation!)

I can live without my house or possesions ...

 (Maybe being a bum wouldn't be so bad)

I can live without my clothes ...

 (If it was like the Garden of Eden, that might be good)

I can live without my family ...

 (I would be very, very sad)
 
Then God helped me along and I began listing necessities:
  • I can live without food for 50 days or so
  • I can live without water for approximately 3 days
  • I can live without air for perhaps 3 minutes

Then real revelation!

I cannot live one millisecond without God. He is THE ONE thing in my life that I absolutely need to exist!
